Online Type Approval System for Communications Regulatory Authorities

THE PROBLEM

The Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) faced significant challenges in ensuring the compatibility of electronic communications equipment with existing networks. Additionally, they lacked a secure and user-friendly system for users to apply for type approval and certification online, and they were unable to efficiently maintain contact records or monitor the progress of applications.

THE SOLUTION

Techno Brain implemented a web-based solution, the Online Type Approval System (OTAS), for TCRA. This system featured a module-based architecture with dedicated modules for users, approvers, and accounts, which facilitated secure nationwide business collaboration and allowed TCRA and their customers to interact more effectively and transparently.
